My three‑year‑old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor six months ago and began his chemotherapy treatment at King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). In April 2026, he started radiotherapy treatment under general anesthesia, a decision that was overwhelming for us as parents. Throughout this difficult journey, I am deeply grateful to the nursing staff at KHCC, and especially to the registered nurse “Iman” in the Radiotherapy Unit, whose compassion and dedication made an extraordinary difference.

Iman’s gentle approach and genuine smile reassured us during every step of treatment. She treated my son with warmth and kindness, creating a safe and comforting environment even during the most stressful procedures. Her commitment was evident in the way she ensured his safety and comfort during radiotherapy sessions; she also told him stories and gave him small toys that eased his fears and brought joy to his experience.

Beyond her care for my son, Iman supported our entire family. She answered our frequent questions with patience, kept us informed, and provided emotional strength during moments of anxiety. Her excellent communication skills and compassionate presence helped us cope with the challenges of treatment and gave us confidence that our child was in safe hands.

Iman exemplifies the qualities of a professional nurse and is deeply committed to her patients. On behalf of my family, I am honored to nominate her for the DAISY Award, in recognition of her extraordinary care and the comfort she brought to our lives during this most difficult time. Thank you, Iman, for your kindness, dedication, and unwavering support.
