I had abdominal surgery and also a blood clot in my mesenteric artery. I had multiple IV antibiotics, heparin infusion, pain, nausea, and vomiting.

Emy showed teamwork by including me in the shift change reports. She showed excellent nursing skills with a full assessment of the heart, lungs, and abdomen, dressing checks, and listening for bowel sounds. She showed compassion by administering what pain medication I could have along with antiemetic in a timely manner.

Emy is truly an exceptional nurse!
