Nurses from across the Trust repeatedly say how absolutely phenomenal you have all been this last year, you have all shone through as experts in your field and have been true advocates for IPC.
Throughout the turbulence and challenges of the past 12 months, the Infection Prevention Control Team has repeatedly risen to the many challenges brought by COVID-19. The team has been an integral part of the Trust's response and has shown commitment above and beyond their usual roles. The team has repeatedly responded to ever-changing guidance to enable the Trust to function safely. They have shown compassionate leadership throughout the Trust and been highly supportive of one another to nurture and grow the team despite the challenging environment. The resilience the team has shown has been a testament to their characters and professionalism. The team has rapidly developed a range of expertise to meet the changing demands of their role, become champions of social distancing, and provided specialist advice on a range of PPE.
To Charlotte, Hope, and Graham, to join IPC at a time when most nurses would run a mile in the opposite direction from this specialty is just so humbling and so inspiring. All three of you have learned so much so quickly and have developed into such amazing role models for best IPC practice, we are so grateful to you.
And to Ros, Natalie, Katie, Jean, and Gill, we are so proud of you for rising to the challenge of welcoming new staff to the team at such a challenging time, not just supporting them but nurturing them, sharing your bourbon biscuits and your passion for IPC with them and teaching them all things Covid, and beyond.
Nurses from across the Trust repeatedly say how absolutely phenomenal you have all been this last year, you have all shone through as experts in your field and have been true advocates for IPC, representing the team both internally and externally with such professionalism and integrity. We know it has been the most difficult year of your career, but you have done the specialty proud, and we are so proud of you for all that you have achieved together.
The IPC team truly has been a shining example of the unsung heroes of this pandemic and Team NGH is so lucky to have them going above and beyond on a daily basis making the Trust a safer place.
