Nomination #1-
Ingrid has taken care of me at one of the most vulnerable and scariest times of my life. She has gone above and beyond the excellent care that I was promised. Her attention to detail is remarkable. She is knowledgeable and professional and an excellent example of what a caring nurse should exemplify. I never needed to ask her for much because she was always one step ahead. Her willingness to go the extra mile made my stay here something to brag about. They say that the little things matter and in this case it was so true. I would like to acknowledge her as one of the best nurses that I have ever encountered. If anyone deserves credit and recognition it is her. I was in the medical field for over 20 years and have worked with thousands of nurses, but becoming a patient all of a sudden was hard for me to accept and she made it pleasant and easy for me to place myself in her care.
Nomination #2-
I was a patient at SRM this fall. I underwent surgery to remove fluid from my lung. Ingrid was my nurse on two days. She was helpful and understanding, always asking how my pain was and was on top of my pain medications and any prescriptions I needed. She was always asking about my comfort and anything I would need. A friendly smile and she made you enjoy seeing her come in the room. One night I was settled in and the floor became very busy and even then she stopped to explain and check up. If I had any questions she'd answer all questions and explained any procedures that was coming. She is a wonderful role model and a caring person in this field. She deserves the award because the work she does and others like her so often go unrewarded, unsung heros. When you're ill a person like Ingrid is pure joy.
