Her sturdy leadership as a charge nurse is so beneficial to the Burn Unit. Always willing to step in and help less-experienced nurses to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Ingrid's amazing work ethic, personality, and compassion for her peers and patients were apparent to me long before I became her manager. Ingrid has been a nurse on the Burn Unit since March of 2013, but I first met her while I was a CCS and she was training in the Simulation Center to be part of the Nursing Education Team. It takes a special kind of nurse to go above and beyond to educate and light the way for others, and Ingrid did so with excitement and thoughtfulness. Over the time that I have known her, Ingrid has consistently performed with competence and often goes above and beyond, doing more than expected. She exemplifies a commitment to patients, family, community, and the organization in protecting, promoting, and optimizing health. Ingrid is an eager and fast learner motivated to accomplish any task set in front of her. As a Senior Staff Nurse, she is a very active, engaged, reliable, and inquisitive individual. I was once told that Nursing is a profession of selflessness; we give not to receive, but simply to serve those in need. Ingrid embodies this saying every day she works. We are so fortunate to have her as a part of our Burn Team.
