November 2016 Honoree
inja kim, RN
Our mother was in hospice care for a short time but the care and support Inja gave us was as if we had all been together much longer. When she visited us, it was as if she had all the time in the world to be with us, comfort us and care for my mom. She shared so many thoughts and ideas that helped my sister and I care for our mom. She always stressed that we were doing a great job caring for our mom at home and always made sure we acknowledged just how difficult it can be, and it was okay to say it out loud. She was so kind and respectful to our mom and always spoke directly to her because she said she could still hear us. On her last visit she asked if we would like her to help bathe her, even though she had scheduled one with an aid the next day. She was patient, kind and loving throughout the process. My mom passed the next morning. Inja called to check on all of us and to see if there was anything she could do. She did everything possible to help.
Thank you, Inja, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
