Inpatient Pediatrics Team

My son had his appendix removed unexpectedly, and it's scary for both a parent and a child to be in the hospital and face surgery. My son L is 14 and this is his first real experience like this, both are nurse and our corpsman have been amazing and so kind to L. They both do an excellent job working with a pediatric patient, keeping him engaged and talking to him about school and sports so he's not as scared just thinking about what he's going through physically. I could not have asked for two better people to be here through this experience. Honestly the entire staff has been amazing, we've been through three hospitals in the last week and I would make the two-hour treck to Balboa again, we have had nothing but great care from the housekeeping staff to the surgeon, just wonderful people. But I specifically wanted to point out HN Strobel and ENS sheets because they really made a difference specifically, with my son and his experience and helping him to not be scared. Honestly, they helped this mama too because I was pretty scared myself, and they both were so kind that it helped her leave some of my fear as well. Not to mention how welcoming they've been, letting me stay in the room with my son and just making sure I was taken care of as well as the actual patient. They both deserve recognition because I'm sure this is how they are every single day at their job. You can tell that they truly care about their patients.
