Nurses have touched the life of my wife in countless ways. The ICU nurses came forward to support me and my wife during a devastating time in our life. I was going through a distressing experience when my wife was diagnosed with cancer and her condition deteriorated significantly. The nurses took care of my wife as if she was one of their family members and made us feel as if my wife was their only patient, taking time to not only tell us what medicine they were administering, but what its purpose was. The nurses ensured that my wife was comforted both physically and mentally by their relentless efforts. Their compassion and support are always remarkable. They took time to genuinely address our concerns and keep me informed. They always make sure to place back the Rosary on her hands for prayer after performing the daily care for her, which is an indication of their respect for our believes and values. I would like to nominate and thank some of these Extraordinary Nurses who made it possible for our family to think differently in spite of our struggle to survive.
