They worked late into their day to connect with pharmacies and specialists on the mainland, ensuring medications were refilled on time and that updates from specialists were communicated back to the primary care team on the island.

They double-checked dosage changes, verified insurance approvals, and kept updated with clear, timely messages so that the patients never felt alone or forgotten. What stood out most was their teamwork and persistence. When a prescription was delayed because of the time difference, one nurse stayed after hours to confirm it with the U.S. pharmacy and then called the patient personally to make sure he received the medication without interruption. Their coordination not only kept the treatment on track but also gave the patient peace of mind knowing they had a team that truly cared, no matter the distance.
