Iowa Specialty Hospital Garner Clinic Team Award

I would like to nominate the Garner Clinic for the Team DAISY Award. They have graciously trained all of the Mason City staff members, who comprised three Medical Secretaries, two nurses, and one lab tech. They have taken the Mason City team under their wing to give them the best onboarding experience possible, even without a clinic to train in. That was six additional bodies squeezed into an already compact clinic. Some days it was a challenge to find a computer station or chair for staff, but the team has always made them feel welcome and part of a bigger team than just themselves, as Mason City staff. They have allowed them to share their space, share experiences, and share crucial patient examples that can only be done in real-time. Their onboarding has enabled collaboration between the two teams, fostering long-term connections and resources beyond our own Mason City department. Thank you to the Garner Clinic team!
