I was floated to this unit and then I was pulled to sit with a very combative sundowning patient. Ipro came to my rescue as she was rounding. She was the charge nurse and had a patient. Bed control was calling and so many other fires at the beginning of the shift. Ipro stood strong by my side. She said "I cannot leave you like this. I will stay until the patient is calm." Ipro exemplified true leadership, compassion, and concern for my safety and the patient.
