Irene has a caring and calming demeanor at all times. She is a strong, focused, and compassionate nurse. Her bilingual background helps bring extra comfort to our patients who may have otherwise experienced a language barrier. She often precepts new nurses and works in the role of charge nurse. She is an excellent leader and many staff members look up to her.

I was fortunate enough to have worked with her and had her as my mother's nurse. During one of the most devastating and difficult periods of my and my family's life, Irene was there as a guiding light. I was set on a specific physical rehabilitation program for my mom and Irene advocated for us. When my mom was initially denied, I spoke to Irene and she assured me she would do everything she could to get my mom the best care possible. Irene contacted the person who accepts people into the program and requested that they come back and evaluate my mom again and Irene would ensure that she would be able to sit down and review documentation with the coordinator.

Upon return, the coordinator decided to accept my mom. I know that if Irene had not tried so hard to get my mom into this program, her outcome would have been so much more devastating. Irene provided support and comfort to my mom and everyone else in my family. I am forever grateful and blessed to have met her.
