Irene Martin, RN

Irene was our postpartum nurse in a very special but vulnerable time for us. We just had our first baby, unexpectedly early via a C-section and she was very small for her gestation. Being a nurse myself, it was very emotional to be on the other side. Scared for our new baby, in a lot of physical pain, and highly emotional; Irene came in our first night and was so warm and told us everything that would happen. She stayed on top of my pain meds to make sure I was comfortable and treated our baby with so much love and kindness. As a first-time mom, I felt so taken care of in such a vulnerable time. It’s obvious Irene truly cares about her patients and loves her job. She is a perfect example of what every nurse should strive to be to their patients and families.
