Irene Porter has the best bedside manner and goes above and beyond noticing the little things. She is always taking time to hear a story and takes the time to notice my habits. She has told my daughter how she knows it takes a moment before I make decisions (I'm a stroke victim) and how I always open my mouth to show her I have taken my pills. This was Irene's second time taking care of me. She would come back a day later for a new shift. She was able to ask questions and get answers about my prior medicines vs my current medicines. She noticed when my IV needle needed to be replaced and called someone right away. Irene is always encouraging, kind, gentle with her words (and her injections), and compassionate. She calls me "beautiful lady" and "angel", and always compliments me on my blue eyes. I was amazed to learn that she has been in nursing for 49 years. Her love for what she does shines through. Irene is truly working in her God-given gifts and CMC is blessed to have her. She is an amazing nurse and deserves to be recognized.
