Irina Kouzmina, RN

Integrity: I have been a patient of Irina's for several years, and I have full trust and confidence in her nursing abilities because she not only gives me a testosterone shot twice a month, but she also asks how I am doing with my overall health. 

Commitment: Irina fulfills the VA mission by having compassion and understanding for her patients. I have noticed that firsthand as I have watched her work with patients on numerous occasions. She treats her patients with respect and compassion. I have been blessed to know her for over two years at the Sarasota clinic. 

Advocacy: Irina always focuses on my healthcare each time I see her for my testosterone shots. I have the utmost respect for her and her abilities, and I have spoken to other veterans who feel the same way. She is a godsend to the VA clinic. 

Respect: Irina is able to make sure each veteran receives respect, care, and compassion each time she sees them, even if it's more than once a month. I have seen firsthand how she handles a veteran crisis, and she was able to be calm and collected and handled the situation, and I am very grateful. I have the utmost respect for Irina. 

Excellence: Irina has proven to me that she can provide the highest quality of care as an RN at the VA clinic. I have also discussed with her how she is always looking for ways to improve and continue serving her patients better each time. 

I can't think of any nurse I've ever had who could even come close to matching her integrity, commitment, advocacy, respect, and excellence. I have been a 100% disabled veteran with 20 years of naval service and have many occasions visited Bay Pines and more visits than I can count to the Sarasota VA clinic.
