The feeling of pain is always excruciating, however, Irish is a real angel who made everything easier for them.
Irish is an angel. This is the way she was described by the nominator. She is a Nursing Unit Manager, but she is doing patient bedside care when necessary to augment the staffing need of the unit. Irish was nominated by the daughter of a patient who has seen her mother in pain due to cancer. She said that she will not tolerate seeing her mother having additional pain, no matter how mild it is. Here comes Nurse Irish, who was so kind and compassionate, even in giving an injection to her mother. Her way of touching her mother especially when she is performing cannulation shows empathy, and this was felt by the patient. These characteristics of a Nurse are just exceptional. It made her feel like Irish was taking care of her own mother, which made her always ask specifically for her name when they visit the unit.

Other people may find this simple, but its impact on the patient family is tremendous. Frequent hospitalization is a challenge they are facing. Fighting with cancer is their real struggle. The feeling of pain is always excruciating, however, Irish is a real angel who made everything easier for them.
