She has the effect of ensuring that everyone feels seen and heard. She shows up every day with her most authentic self, bringing laughter and joy to all interactions.
Irit goes above and beyond with regards to patient care and supporting families. Even on days that she is assigned to another unit, she always makes time in her day to come by our program to visit the young people and check in with them, as well as connect with staff about how she can be supportive. Irit is a voice of advocacy for patients and families in clinical rounds and staff meetings; she highlights the difficult perspectives of families that can sometimes be overlooked. Irit does not shy away from supporting staff and families through difficult conversations and situations. She has provided care that goes beyond the standard practice to meet the diverse individual needs of patients and their families. Irit collaborates with our young people to create individualized plans that target their personal health goals and needs. She will personally follow up and check in with them on whether they are using them and if they are effective. Our young people have shared that her insight on sleep hygiene, skin care, and substance use has greatly impacted their lives outside of the hospital setting. Regardless of what may be taking place behind the scenes, Irit always makes the effort to say "good morning" to patients, families, and staff. She has the effect of ensuring that everyone feels seen and heard. She shows up every day with her most authentic self, bringing laughter and joy to all interactions. We are so thankful and appreciative to have her on our team. She is an incredible support to our team, patients, and families.
