Isaac is a fantastic nurse because he takes time to listen, follows through quickly on requests, goes out of his way to educate his patients on hospital resources, patient options to refuse or take medications, and what the medication treats. He also shares stories about what drives him to be a cardiology nurse.

I had the pleasure of being cared for by Isaac twice. There were separate visits to the hospital, and the second time I came as a cancer patient with an infection and high heart rate. Isaac took care of me on my first and second day. He made sure I had something to eat when I got there: the food was waiting when I arrived. Later that day when I felt like I would not be able to swallow the medicine, Isaac went out of his way to crush the pill and provide me with applesauce quickly. He also asked me the check-in questions and included asking about a phone charger. I desperately needed one and let me know that a charger at the nurses' station could be used as long as the phone stayed at the station. It's allowed me to stay in touch with my family, including my young daughters of age 12 and 10, whom I left abruptly. Since my phone was charged I could assure them that mommy was OK.

On the second day, Isaac went out of his way to call the doctor for me to take a shower and charted cis records at my door while I did. In my struggles with multiple health issues, Isaac provides comfort and hope that I will get better. A huge thank-you to Isaac!
