Our daughter requests specifically to be on the 5th floor so she can hang with Miss Bella; she now doesn't dread staying confined within the walls of the hospital because she knows there will be fun and laughter sprinkled in.
I am writing to nominate Nurse Bella for the DAISY Award for her exceptional care and compassion during my son's inpatient stay on the 5K. From the moment we arrived, Nurse Bella demonstrated an extraordinary level of skill and empathy that not only put my son at ease but also provided immense support to our family during a challenging time. Her ability to connect with my son, understand his fears and anxieties, and address them with kindness and professionalism was nothing short of remarkable. Nurse Bella went above and beyond in every aspect of care. She spent extra time explaining medical procedures in a way that was easy for my son to understand, ensuring he felt safe and informed. Her attentiveness didn't stop at clinical care; she was always available to answer our questions, offer a comforting word, and even share a laugh to lighten the mood. Her dedication to her profession was evident in her actions. She meticulously monitored my son's condition, promptly addressed any issues, and collaborated with the medical team to ensure the best possible care. Nurse Bella's commitment to excellence in nursing is a shining example of what every nurse should aspire to. Nurse Bella's impact on our family during this stay was profound. She didn't just care for a patient; she cared for my child and my family, making a difficult situation more bearable through her compassion, expertise, warmth, and humor. It is for these reasons and many more that I wholeheartedly nominate Nurse Bella for the DAISY Award. Her outstanding patient care and dedication to her patients truly deserve recognition.

Bella has always made our inpatient stays pleasant. She exemplifies true patience and compassion and goes above and beyond her calling as a nurse. Our daughter requests specifically to be on the 5th floor so she can hang with Miss Bella; she now doesn't dread staying confined within the walls of the hospital because she knows there will be fun and laughter sprinkled in.
Bella also took exceptional care of Sparkles, our daughter's Elf on the Shelf, who snuck into the hospital. On his flight back to the North Pole, he had a bit of an accident, and the nurses coordinated his care. He needed an IV placed, a cast, and careful monitoring of his vitals, but rest assured, he was able to make it back to Santa because of the care of Bella and the other inpatient nurses.
Bella has also ensured that the hospital room felt more like a playroom. She has helped assemble forts, brought play mats, and ensured that crafts were always available. The care we have received at St. Jude has always been exceptional, and nurses like Bella make a lasting impact.
