Isabella Joseph, BS, RN

The 2023 DAISY Award from the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing was given to Isabella Joseph. During her short four-week community rotation, Bella went above and beyond as a student nurse to help discover that a young child who was struggling with schoolwork required the necessary care to have a vision impairment corrected. Bella took the time to converse with the parent in Spanish and made multiple calls to vision clinics. Bella followed up and provided education to make sure that the child received the necessary care. On her last day, the parent even came to visit Bella to show gratitude. We would like to thank Bella, for her compassionate care as a nursing student.
