She had a day when five of her patients were discharging in the same instance. She was exemplary in her execution of each discharge, spending the time to educate concerned patients and family members and putting them at ease. She also had a critical patient in the mix of all this, which she confidently attended to with the poise and knowledge of a veteran nurse, all while keeping the best possible attitude. She ultimately got the patient transferred to safety and completed her work without delay. I see her as a model for not just other nurses, but all healthcare workers who strive to be the best at what they do. Every shift with her is a reminder to bring my best because I know she will be doing the same.
