My grandmother was admitted to the ICU after suffering a severe stroke. My family speaks mostly Vietnamese and very little English. As a healthcare worker myself, I understand the challenges that come with language barriers. Isabelle DuMoulin took the time to carefully explain the weaning process from the ventilator to comfort care, completely repeating herself to ensure that my family understood. She also gave us the confidence to make the heart-wrenching decision to let my grandmother pass peacefully and comfortably. Throughout the entire process, Isabelle continued to check on my family and my grandmother, providing exceptional care without hesitation. Her clinical excellence and outstanding compassion made a lasting difference.
