Isabelle has been our mother’s nurse for the last 3 days. Her compassion, empathy, and kindness have not gone unnoticed. She has been so gentle and caring with our beloved mom and during one of the most scary times in our lives. Isabelle has gone above and beyond in her caring for us and our mom. She had been patient and caring and explained in great detail our mom’s progress every day. Her honesty and candidness were very appreciated. When Mom was intubated, she talked to her during her interventions and treated her like a person. She has been so attentive and available whenever we needed her. Normally, when mom is admitted, we don’t feel safe with nursing care, so someone usually stays with mom around the clock. We have not felt the need to stay 24/7 as she has been in such great, loving hands. We feel so blessed with the care she has received from Isabelle. Thank you for all you do and for being our nurse.

Isabelle deserves DAISY recognition as she has made all the difference in the care of our Mom. I am a nurse at Ochsner Pediatrics and have never seen this amount of caring in nursing at the bedside in the adult population. Examples: after mom was extubated, she was sweaty. Isabelle wanted to make Mom more comfortable. She gave her a gentle bed bath. This made Mom so much more comfortable. After different therapies came to work with Mom, her bed was disheveled. Isabelle immediately bathed her and changed her linens. She treated Mom like she was her own family member.
