Isee was nominated by a patient he frequently looks after in the hospital who has a long-term hematology condition. The patient stated that Isee truly exemplifies excellence in care and compassion. Isee found a way to bring light into the dark days when the patient was having a rough time with her symptoms. The patient felt Isee went beyond the clinical aspects of his job by fully understanding the emotional and psychological weight of the patient's condition and addressing all the relevant issues. She continued by saying that Isee has set the highest standards of what compassionate, patient-centered care should look like and has had a lasting impact on the patient's life.
