Ivana showed not only professionalism but also empathy as a nurse. True care. Spending extra time to talk and listen is somewhat rare! Ivana’s attitude and involvement with her patients show a level of humanity that is seldom seen! She listened all the time and is always concerned. Her explanations of the procedures they were doing were very informative. Ivana has a great smile and uses it to put you at ease. Most importantly, she makes you feel like a friend, not just a patient. It was a pleasure to develop a rapport with her and I observed that with her other patients she had in the Madison VA Emergency Room. Ivana treated me with Dignity, Integrity, and Respect!! She consistently checked in on me to make sure I was fine. She is the only nurse I have had in any Emergency Room who asked if I needed something to drink or a snack! It was exceptional to build a rapport with her. In short, I found a friend who is also a fantastic nurse! The Madison VA ER has an exceptional nurse on their staff!
