She sat with me for 45 minutes while I calmed down. She asked me about my family, goals, and so on. Talking to her made me feel at peace.
I suffer from several health issues that require a hospital stay now and then. I’ve been admitted for a Crohn’s flare, which hasn’t flared in years, and I was struggling immensely! I was in tears, nonetheless. I heard a knock at the door, and Ivy walked in. She immediately has me sit down and offers to take me for a walk outside. She said, “The moon is a pretty strawberry color tonight, let's go check it out.” Mind you, it’s nearly 10 o’clock at night. She gathers all my stuff together and takes me for a much-needed walk. She sat with me for 45 minutes while I calmed down. She asked me about my family, goals, and so on. Talking to her made me feel at peace. She made me chuckle, but most importantly, she made me smile, and at that moment, that’s what I needed the most.
