October 2024 Honoree
Ivy Dyer, BSN, RN
I came to the hospital with a traumatic leg amputation and other severe healthcare problems. One day, I was having a really bad PTSD episode. I was scared and anxious and felt alone with a group of healthcare workers around me trying to help me. But I couldn’t hear them. Ivy came through the “cloud of noise,” grabbed my hand, and held it tightly. She said, "I got you. You are going to be okay. I won’t leave you." I truly believe God put her here at that moment to be my nurse. She is wonderful and kind. She’s always smiling, never a frown. I’m so grateful she was my nurse.
Thank you, Ivy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
