I would like to nominate Ivy Gregorio for the DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional commitment to patient care, particularly in managing a challenging situation with a patient experiencing severe pain. Recently, we took care of a patient with stage IV cancer who was struggling with high levels of pain that were difficult to manage. Throughout this ordeal, Ivy went above and beyond to ensure the patient's comfort, tirelessly adjusting pain management protocols and providing continuous support. Ivy's expertise and persistence in managing this patient's pain were truly remarkable, and she remained steadfast in her efforts to provide relief despite the complex nature of the case.

What makes Ivy even more special is the deep personal connection she forms with the patients and their families. The patient and their spouse specifically requested Ivy to be their nurse when she returned to work. This is a testament to the trust and comfort she inspires in the patients. Ivy's calm demeanor, quick smile, and compassionate way of speaking with both patients and their families create an environment of trust and reassurance. Her ability to make even the most difficult moments a little easier is something that truly sets her apart
