Ivy spent four weeks in August at Mayo Clinic in Arizona caring for patients with COVID-19.
When the call was placed for volunteers, Ivy responded immediately about her desire to help colleagues and patients due to an extraordinarily high influx of patients with COVID-19. She committed to this assignment within 24 hours. She made sacrifices in her personal life in order to make this happen, ventured to an unknown environment, and was immediately immersed within the work environment in Arizona. She made an immediate difference, and Arizona colleagues said how much she was appreciated.
