The nurse went above and beyond, not only for me but for my elderly roommate. I was in severe pain and discomfort, and this nurse seriously made me feel at ease and comfortable, checked constantly on me while also running and dealing with so many others. They ensured I understood the doctor's prescribed medication and made sure I got it on time. I am a combat-disabled veteran, and I can say how this nurse, who acted selflessly and so professionally, is in need of absolute recognition and this award. I have been through the VA system for a long time and I have never seen a nurse control and tend to the floor 5 west for me and my fellow veterans like I have seen in this nurse. Thank you to this nurse. They are truly a hero and their service to their job is not to be unrecognized.
