Since the journey as my child's mother began, I have met many very wonderful people who have been called into the Nursing profession. One of the nurses I have met at Palmetto Health's Children's Hospital, Jacey Pruett, is one of the many unexpected blessings that has found its way to our family. Each day I am thankful that she has become an important part of my life.
Jacey has not only given my daughter extraordinary, compassionate, and skillful care while in the hospital setting, but she has enabled us to make memories as a family that could not have happened without her. Jacey went with my daughter, my husband, and me to Walt Disney World on vacation. While my husband had to work, Jacey stayed with my daughter and me. We immediately became a team, or Ohana, that worked together so my girl could have the best possible experience. It was a selfless act that she will never think of as being extraordinary, but to my family, it will never be forgotten. The memories will last forever. One of those that I will cherish was when we had story time in Christopher Robin's bedroom. I can't wait for our next family adventure!
Jacey is the person who makes us laugh a little harder and always brings a smile to our faces. To my daughter, she will always be known as "Mom 2.0!" Jacey Pruett deserves this DAISY Award for the exceptional care and love that she has given my family.
