Jackie took care of a patient who was a veteran. The patient didn't have much, and Jackie noticed that the patient's shoes were falling apart. She would not allow him to leave the hospital in the shoes he had, so she took it upon herself to offer her own shoes. Jackie, who is also a veteran, finished the remainder of her shift in ortho shoes. Jackie exemplifies what it means to be compassionate to everyone's story. We are so proud that Jackie works with us in the Emergency Center.
