Jackie Bowles is very kind, listens to me and if I don't understand, she works with me to get me to the level I need to be at. It is reassuring to have her on my side because she makes sure all my ducks are in a row before I am discharged. I truly appreciate everything she has done for me. Without her, I am sure I would be lost.

I was very concerned about another patient on our unit. I reached out to Jackie and she helped me and the patient. She listened to me as I explained my concerns, she didn't dismiss my feelings. We talked for a good half hour and she helped me understand how I could help this other patient as well. She helped me realize my role in helping care for each other on the unit as well, which has helped me heal.

I was having panic attacks and Jackie knew exactly what to do to help me out. She quietly led me into a room and talked with me about anything and everything. It is like she has a magical power to know what each person needs. I don't know if I have explained clearly how great of a nurse she really is, I just know she deserves to be recognized. She has made all the difference to me.

...

I want to nominate Jackie Bowles because she was extra caring and comforting. She went out of her way to notice when I just wasn't right. She paid attention to me. All of the staff is very courteous, but she is simply extraordinary. She has a very soothing and nurturing soul. She has always had a kind word and a smile to offer to anyone. She really took her time with me and explained things. I felt like I was the only person she had to care for. I felt very comfortable opening my soul to her.

Thank you, Jackie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
