Professor Lucas-Buck goes above and beyond for her students by always being available to answer questions. She uses a number of different strategies, like games, T/F questions, repetitive information to help the learning and memorizing process for students. She makes class and learning fun and challenging. Her knowledge of the material she teaches is outstanding which gives students confidence in interacting with questions when clarification is needed. Uses many real-life examples to help students mentally visualize scenarios. I am very happy to have been in her class!

Dr. Jackie was willing to spend a large amount of time one of one with me to ensure I understood the material. She is so encouraging and happy. She is passionate about what she teaches and is a very caring person.

Dr. Jackie Lucas-Buck has been an excellent professor. She has encouraged every student and has shown that she truly cares about each one of us. She makes class fun and enjoyable with a great learning environment. If there is a topic, we do not understand completely she takes the time to help us understand it better and gives examples of what she is teaching and the importance of it.

Dr. Jackie really goes the extra mile for us students to learn. She makes class fun, and she has a way about her that gets everyone involved. I've really enjoyed her class this semester. Earlier this semester she had a family member pass away, she didn't let that stand in her way when it came to teaching her class. She still held lecture at the family member's home amidst everything going on with the recent death. She truly is committed to teaching. She loves to teach, and she wants to see us succeed as her students. I appreciate that she isn't afraid to be an advocate for us as students. She is most deserving of the DAISY Award.
