I came to the ER and was admitted to the PICU. Later in the week, my oxygen levels were dropping so they had to intubate me. Because of my nurse, Jackie, I have never been calmer in my entire life. When I was intubated and couldn't speak Jackie knew what I wanted before I even knew what I needed. This moment should have been the scariest moment of my life but because of Jackie, it was one of the easiest things. Jackie is one of the kindest, most caring, soothing and compassionate people I know. I feel very proud to know her and call her a friend. I truly believe that because of Jackie I made it. I don't think I would be sitting here, writing this letter if it wasn't for her; she saved my life. Even after my stay at the PICU Jackie was always there for me. Thank you for everything Jackie, love you!
