She caught that a simple oversight caused a patient to be admitted and she acted with speed, grace, and incredible professionalism in informing me as the physician as well as fixing the issue. Her attention to detail and care for the patient prevented unnecessary and dangerous interventions and made it possible for the patient to be rapidly discharged. Multiple attendings including myself missed what she caught and she did the best for the patient, embodying the best values of compassionate care.
