February 2023 Honoree
Jackquelyn G Espindola, RN
I brought my newborn baby into the emergency room at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital after giving birth at home. My baby was blue at the time and my emotions were scattered. Jacquelyn met us outside and instantly made us feel at home and like everything was going to be okay, when there was a strong chance it wouldn’t. She was there to comfort us in a time of disarray. She was the puzzle piece we needed that day. She held me together when I didn’t know if my baby was going to make it. She was confident in her actions and quick decision-making skills, compassionate to our emotions, and worked quickly and diligently to make a miracle happen. I truly believe that Jacquelyn is a large part of the reason our baby is alive today. We needed her that day, and she was there on all fronts. I am thankful for her both as a nurse and as a person for her acts of kindness and knowledge on such a dreadful day.
Thank you, Jackquelyn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
