April 2025 Honoree
Jackson Bourne, RN, BSN
Jackson was the first male nurse I worked with whom I felt very comfortable with. He showed his concern and interest in being my nurse. He showed concern for other things I was not there for. He answered all my questions with professionalism an,d his explanations were always clear and understandable. I was not even expecting to be admitted to the hospital, so I was not prepared for overnight stays.
He researched and found me word puzzles to do. When I finished the for 2 in 15 minutes, he said, "Okay, I need to challenge you more." He ended up bringing me more and more like every 20 minutes, until I had enough to get me through my stay at the hospital. I came to Yakima from Auburn, WA, to be a patient for treatment at Sundown M Ranch. When I ended up in the ER for heart issues, I was happy to be in the care of Jackson.
