I was admitted and told that I have Burkitt's lymphoma at the age of 20, being admitted into the hospital for the first time ever was extremely scary. Jaclyn Cinelli was the one of the first nurses I met and consistently from day 1 was always by my side supporting me. She would hand write out all my medications and why I was being given them so I could learn them all as well as printing and handwriting notes on informational packets so I could understand the side effects of each of the chemo medications I was being given. Jackie always makes sure to check on my family and would come check on me even if I wasn’t one of her patients that shift. She supported me through a very difficult lumbar puncture that I received and advocated for me as she could tell that I was uncomfortable and anxious. From the moment I met her, she has been my biggest supporter and has consistently gone above and beyond to make sure that I understand what’s happening as well as making sure that I’m doing okay emotionally.

Thank you, Jaclyn, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
