I nominated Jaclyn for the DAISY Award in recognition of her outstanding leadership and tireless efforts in the advancement and development care practice in this unit. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Jaclyn for many years. She possesses a high standard of excellence for herself and serves as a mentor and role model for those around her. Our unit benefits greatly by her dedication.
As one of the leaders of our Developmental Care Committee, Jaclyn works very closely with their team members to create protocols/guidelines, educating the staff and families, and enhancing neurodevelopment outcomes for the infants. Jaclyn has shared her knowledge of Developmental Care with nurses at our conference along with being our go-to person on the floor. She is continuously researching and trialing products to assist with infant positioning. It is very comforting to have her for a resource person. One person can make such a difference with their presence and Jaclyn's dedication to our unit is so inspiring.
