Professor Moitoso and I met weekly to go over missed concepts, and she always had faith in me, always gave me a pep talk when I was down, and ALWAYS lifted me up.
During my OB term, I had Professor Moitoso, and she is the most supportive, hands-on, and professional instructor I have encountered at WCU. At the beginning of OB, I didn’t do very well on my first two exams and I was extremely concerned that I wasn’t going to pass. I went to her early, and we talked about strategies, study habits, and more. Professor Moitoso reassured me that I would do better, and she was sure I knew the content. (I ended up passing)
Professor Moitoso and I met weekly to go over missed concepts, and she always had faith in me, always gave me a pep talk when I was down, and ALWAYS lifted me up. This wasn’t the only time she showed interest in being a supportive instructor. Later in the term, she took time out of her busy weekend to have an “urgent” Zoom meeting regarding my peers for a group project. You know the moment when you have something going on in your life, and you need to call your mom? I felt that with her. I felt, gosh, I wish I could pick up the phone and call her to talk about this assignment, and maybe she could give me some feedback. So I messaged her on Remind, and she INSTANTLY replied, and we got on the Zoom call and figured everything out. I felt so much better.
Thank you, Professor Moitoso, for always having faith in your students, for being ever so patient with us, and for being a wonderful and strong role model.
