I had a heart catheterization and two stents inserted into my heart, and I had to stay overnight at the University Hospital Heart Care Center. After my procedure was completed and I was taken to my room for my overnight stay.
I can still remember the beautiful smite that greeted me as Jaclyn Watson entered into my room and told my wife and I that she would be my nurse and would be taking care of us the rest of the afternoon.
She checked the injection site in my leg several times during the remainder of her shift to ensure my artery was not bleeding, continued to monitor my vital signs and was always very courteous and helpful to me and my wife.
I listened as she gave the turnover to her relief nurse at the end of her shift and she was very thorough about everything she had done. The next morning as she came back on duty and came into my room, once again, I remember her smile as she woke me with a cheerful "Good Morning" and even commented on my Christmas colored pillowcases. When my doctor came by my room and released me to go home, once again Jaclyn was there to check on me and even assisted me when I was unable to bend over to tie my shoes, she took the time to tie my shoelaces for me. Jaclyn does her work very professionally, does her work with cheerfulness, and it is obvious that she enjoys doing what she does. It was so nice to be able to have such a caring person, who shows so much joy in what she does, to be able to have her as my nurse.
