Jacob Burnham, RN
Jacob took excellent care of my fiancé. We were all scared and overwhelmed; Jacob took the time to explain everything as best he could and contacted doctors for clarification when needed. He treated my fiancé with dignity and respect, as a human and a man. He did all this while teaching a student. On his 3rd shift in a row, he wasn’t our assigned nurse but came by several times to check on us. I loved watching the “high fives” that were exchanged between my love and the nurse who helped him through two of the hardest days of his life.

Recently, I had a shift with a very sick patient. He required tremendous effort, and the task load was too much for one. Without saying a word, Jacob acted as though he were a second set of hands for me for 12 hours straight. He took care of his patients while also helping me take care of mine. I know that this patient’s outcome is better because of the constant support Jacob gave. I never felt overwhelmed, and I am incredibly grateful. I have seen him do this for others; he is an incredibly hard-working and valuable member of the team.
