Jacob Crumling took care of my husband after he was returned to LGH after being to LRH. My husband was in critical condition. Jacob worked diligently to figure out what was wrong with him. He gave him basic care as well as critical care, all the while letting me know what was going on. When my husband was admitted to the floor that day another staff member told me “he is in good hands, tonight Jacob has him”. No truer words were ever spoken. Had my husband survived his battle, Jacob would be responsible for saving his life. Jacob’s skills and assessments of my husband lead him to diagnose “acidosis” and they called a rapid response team to get my husband to ICU, where despite a valiant fight for days, my husband lost his battle and died. I know my husband died, but Jacob gave him a chance. He listened to him and me and began his assessments of my husband with fresh opened eyes and used his brilliant knowledge to at least give my husband a chance. Thank you Jacob I will never forget your care for me and my husband.
