Jacob jumped into action doing whatever was needed for a critical patient. Jacob didn’t just give basic care- he gave phenomenal care. He showed so much compassion and professionalism. The care for this patient was ongoing for hours. During this time, his skills were tested on all levels. He continued to show his knowledge and compassion. Even in the end, when the dying process had begun, Jacob remained at the bedside comforting the family and explaining what was going on. Jacob remained strong even when some of us did not. Jacob went above and beyond during and after care. Under the extraordinary circumstances, Jacob showed extraordinary patient care.
