I am a nurse who works with Jacob and I would like to recognize him on behalf of my father who was a patient. Both of my parents commended Jacob for his compassionate nature. He took time to explain the care he provided along with the on-going plan of care so they clearly understood the goal of his hospitalization. Jacob also went above and beyond to make sure that all my Dad's needs were met. For example, after suffering with constant diarrhea, Jacob suggested appropriate skin care/protection for my Dad, which helped my Dad immeasurably. He made sure the family members were involved in the care as well. He was kind enough to take care of my Mother's needs as well while she was visiting with my Dad.
I have worked with Jacob as a peer and have witnessed him advocating for the needs and concerns of patients by collaborating with the Physicians involved with their care. I've seen the difference he makes with his caring nature towards the patient and family members.

When I was feeling so much pain and did not know what was wrong, Jacob was always positive and compassionate. He is the most professional nurse I have ever had.

Jacob was my Nurse for 2 of the 3 days I was in Mercy Gilbert. Every time I needed something he was available within a few minutes. It is so important to have this type of service when you are immobile. He always was asking if I needed anything or if I was in pain. He is extremely caring, passionate and knowledgeable. He is definitely in the right profession. I was so happy to have Jacob as my Nurse and would want any of my loved ones to have the type of care he provided to me.

Jacob is a very caring compassionate caregiver. He was always happy and very knowledgeable. Nursing is his calling. You can tell he loves what he does and it shows. He has exceptional clinical skills and is a great patient advocate. He made my stay a wonderful experience"

My mother was recently in your hospital for a TIA and low sodium. It was a very difficult time for us, but one of your RN's, Jacob Ferrin, was absolutely fantastic. Not only was he knowledgeable and responsive, but he was so caring and truly concerned for my Mother's well being.

I highly commend Jacob as an example of what nursing should be. My Mother has been in the hospital repeatedly over the course of the last ten years and I can honestly say, this is the best care she has received. My mother is doing much better now, but because of Jacob, should we need a hospital in the future, we would definitely choose Mercy Gilbert over other options in the area.
