I would like to nominate Jacob for going above and beyond for a patient on the 3 Tower unit. A patient under his care had difficulty with the nasal cannula not fitting well. Jacob called different unit floors and received the appropriate sizing for his patient's comfort. Jacob personally went to the pediatric unit to obtain a smaller nasal cannula that would properly fit and further benefit his patient's care. Jacob represents compassion and the heart of a true medical professional. He always goes above and beyond to help his patients and coworkers.

He treats every patient with kindness, patience, and respect, remaining calm and professional even in stressful situations. Jacob has a way of making patients feel safe, heard, and cared for. He never rushes through interactions and always takes the time to explain, offer reassurance, and provide comfort to both patients and their families. His teamwork, dedication, and positive attitude make a difference on 3 Tower and inspire those around him. Jacob is the kind of nurse people remember long after their hospital stay. His compassion, skills, and heart for nursing make him truly deserving of a Daisy award nomination.
