I’ve seen him handle so many situations with a calm demeanor, and he is always reassuring to his patients. Not only does he provide excellent patient care, but there are many times where he is asked to fill in a leadership role as being the charge nurse for the entire ED!
Handling every situation — from cleaning rooms to managing trauma alerts while triaging new patients, answering phone calls and staffing the oncoming shifts — he never shows frustration and always shows compassion… He is asked to do so much for the department and never complains about doing the work.
He treats his co-workers with so much respect and always has a smile on his face. I believe he’s very deserving of this award, and I’m sure there are plenty of other people, including his patients, who would agree with me.
