It was Jacob who first challenged me to act brave, as an adult; nobody had ever thought my spoiled self would ever do it. When he first came to my room, he was a no-nonsense General in charge. I was so surprised but challenged to earn his trust. In time, I got to see all his nursing facets. Giant Jacob really cared for us. He was loyal to his peers, but what stood out was his assuming PCT duties whenever he could. I admire Jake's attention to detail. No task was too small or large for him. He is a true team player, a unit leader, and a person who inspires patients and his team. He treats all with respect and caring. He is exceptional. I cannot believe he is a new graduate nurse.
