Jacob has been with Tacoma Dialysis in Region 1 for over five years. At the beginning, when he first came to DaVita, the team recalls he was so nervous to start. He quickly overcame that nervousness and became one of the strongest RNs in Tacoma. Jacob never shies away from hard or challenging patients and is often able to put them at ease. He has a soft touch and a calming voice, and he is able to act quickly in an emergency. He keeps the PCTs around him calm and always comforts the patients.

As an example of Jacob’s outstanding ability to care for his patients, there was a particular patient who had very low blood pressure and was not feeling well, so the team had to call EMS. Jacob never left the patient's side and was so kind to her. He explained everything that was happening, and the team was able to get the patient transferred to the hospital without further complications. This is just one of many instances in which Jacob has shown such passion and devotion when it comes to the patients he cares for.

His integrity towards the work he does is truly admirable, and he never leaves the clinic before all of his tasks are complete for the day. Jacob, thank you for all you do for our company, your fellow teammates, and the patients you care for. We are truly grateful!
